The Uzbek government delegation led by the President’s Foreign Policy Envoy, Abdulaziz Kamilov landed in Warsaw, Poland on a working visit on Monday.

During the visit, the delegation held meetings with the Deputy Chairman of the Polish Senate Michal Kaminski, the Deputy MArshal of the Sejm Włodzimierz Czarzasty, the Deputy Head of the National Security Bureau Dariusz Lukowski, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Władysław Bartoszewski, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, the Chairman of the "Poland-Uzbekistan" Interparliamentary Friendship Group Pawel Bejda, and the President of the Investment and Trade Agency Andrzej Dycha.

The talks discussed in detail the Uzbek-Polish bilateral cooperation, including opportunities for further expanding relations in the political, interparliamentary, security, defense, and trade and economic spheres.

They reviewed the rich agenda of bilateral events and visits scheduled for 2025, including initiatives within the framework of Poland's presidency of the Council of the European Union, and exchange views on issues of international and regional importance took place.

The parties identified promising areas for bringing the partnership between Uzbekistan and Poland to a new level and expressed hope that 2025 would be a historic year that would give a new impetus to bilateral relations and relations between the European Union and Central Asia.

Special attention was also paid to the opportunities within the framework of the European Union's Global Gateway initiative and the importance of developing infrastructure projects such as the Trans-Caspian international transport route.
