The World Cup-winning Joachim Löw said he currently had several inquiries from clubs and a national association (Uzbekistan national team – Ed.) offering a coaching position. "They're asking whether I'm willing to talk, whether I'm interested – that's happened over the last one or two weeks," said the 65-year-old on the sidelines of an event at Europa-Park in Rust near Freiburg. He's now thinking about it and finding out more about each team. The next step could be meetings with those in charge to see "whether things would fit together."

After Löw stepped down from his position as the Germany national coach following the 2021 European Championship, he hasn't accepted a coaching position since. He won the World Cup with the German national team in Brazil in 2014. Before joining the national team, he coached at VfB Stuttgart, Fenerbahçe Istanbul, and FK Austria Vienna, among others. His home has been in the Freiburg region for many years. He doesn't want to leave the southern Baden metropolis permanently—but perhaps for a limited period of time for a coaching engagement.
