According to the preliminary forecast from Uzhydromet, temperatures in Uzbekistan this July are expected to exceed seasonal climate norms. On certain days, temperatures in the northern, southern, and desert arears could soar as high as 45°C (113°F), with dry and rainless weather persisting throughout most of the month.
Uzhydromet noted that July is traditionally the hottest month of the year in Uzbekistan. During this period, average daytime maximum temperatures across most of the country typically range between 35°C and 37°C (95°F–99°F), while climbing to 38°C–40°C (100°F–104°F) in the southern and desert zones.
According to meteorologists, temperatures peak almost every July between 40°C and 42°C (104°F–108°F) nationwide, and reach 43°C to 45°C (109°F–113°F) in specific northern, southern, and arid localities. In exceptionally scorching years, extreme highs of 47°C to 50°C (116°F–122°F) have even been recorded.
This year, the first five days of July are expected to bring relatively comfortable weather, with daytime temperatures hovering around 30°C–35°C (86°F–95°F), and up to 36°C–39°C (97°F–102°F) in the south. However, the heat will intensify toward the end of the first ten days, pushing daytime highs to 37°C–40°C (99°F–104°F), and up to 41°C–43°C (106°F–109°F) in southern regions. For the remainder of the month, temperatures will primarily fluctuate between 33°C and 43°C (91°F–109°F), with the potential to strike 45°C (113°F) in isolated pockets of the north, south, and desert plains.
According to the forecast, the average temperature in July will sit 1.5°C to 3°C above historical climate norms. The most significant positive anomalies are expected to occur in the northern and desert areas.
Uzhydromet noted that the number of days with temperatures reaching 40°C (104°F) or higher has been steadily rising in recent years. In Tashkent, for instance, July 2019 witnessed a punishing 14-day streak where temperatures consistently breached the 40°C mark. July 2025 followed a remarkably similar, intensely hot pattern.
Predominantly dry weather will dominate the country throughout July. Short-lived showers and isolated thunderstorms might develop only on select days within foothill and mountainous areas. Overall, the monthly precipitation total is projected to fall below the long-term historical average.
