President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his March 2 message to the UN Secretary General, António Guterres on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the membership of Uzbekistan in the UN, said he intends to participate in the next session of the UN General Assembly in New York in September.
"I hope to meet you soon in New York, during the session of the UN General Assembly in September", - it said in the message.
Last time Uzbekistan participated at the UN General Assembly session at the level of the head of state was in 2010 - the first President Islam Karimov spoke at the UN Summit on the theme of the Millennium Development Goals.
