On March 17, 2017 the Uzbek Foreign Minister, Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Director of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the OSCE, Michael Georg Link, who arrived in our country as the head of the ODIHR delegation.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, during the meeting the sides exchanged views on the issues of interaction between Uzbekistan and the OSCE/ODIHR.
It was noted that during last year's Uzbekistan Presidential elections a full mission of ODIHR comprising long-term and short-term observers participated in the monitoring.
The sides confirmed their interest in continuing constructive cooperation on strengthening and improving the electoral system of Uzbekistan, as well as on other promising areas of cooperation.
In the meeting was also present the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan, John S. MacGregor.
