The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Moscow in the evening on April 4, UzA reported. At Vnukovo-2 airport the Head of State was met by the members of the Russian government.

The main events of the visit are scheduled for April 5. Shavkat Mirziyoyev will discuss with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin "the issues of strengthening the strategic partnership ties between Uzbekistan and Russia, the prospects for development of cooperation in the political, trade-economic, investment, transport-communication, scientific-technical, cultural, humanitarian and other areas and will exchange views on regional and international issues", the statement added.

During the visit, it is planned to sign more than 50 documents, which are aimed at developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in various areas.

Earlier, the First Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Achilbay Ramatov announced that to Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit was timed the signing of 55 accords between ministries and companies of the two countries totaling US$ 16 billion.
