The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree "On Rewarding Veterans of the World War 2". On the occasion of the May 9 national holiday - the Day of Remembrance and Honors, and the 72nd anniversary of the Victory over fascism in the World War II in 1941-1945, the War Veterans are to be rewarded with one-time cash-bonus of 2 million soums.
The Defense Ministry, the Interior Ministry and the National Security Service in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank have been instructed to ensure presenting the rewards in a solemn and festive atmosphere.
Last year the War Veterans were rewarded 800 thousand soums.
