Today, the Commander of the National Guard of Uzbekistan, the Major-General Rustam Juraev met with the delegation led by the U.S. Congressmen Trent Kelly and Darin Lakhud.
The parties discussed the military cooperation of the National Guard of Uzbekistan with the United States and the ways to develop the relations with the U.S. National Guard of Mississippi State.
In March, Major General J. Boyles, Commander of the National Guard of the State of Mississippi had a meeting with the Commander of the National Guard of Uzbekistan, Major General R. Juraev, during his visit to Uzbekistan.
It was noted that a number of trainings had been successfully conducted as part of the cooperation, and National Guard military personnel have improved their skills at training courses and seminars with the participation of U.S. experts.
During the meeting, agreements were reached on maintaining public order, preventing natural and man-made emergencies, and expanding cooperation in the fields of training military personnel.
