Reports surfaced on social networks that in Lashkar village of Kuvasay city in Ferghana province, a local police inspector beat and injured a resident.
According to Fergana province prosecutor's office, on August 27, at about 19:00, police officers took Kh.T. to a medical facility to check if he was drunk.
However, “on the way to the medical facility, “his health deteriorated and he died despite to the provided first aid,” the report said.
According to provisional information from the forensic medical examination, Kh. T. died as a result of “ischemic heart disease, acute coronary insufficiency, right-sided pneumonia, chronic pleurisy, hemorrhage in the pancreas, alcohol poisoning.”
The Kuvasay prosecutor's office is conducting a pre-investigation probe, which is under the control of the provincial prosecutor's office.
