Russian President Vladimir Putin will personally attend the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Uzbekistan. This was announced by his spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
“Vladimir Putin indeed plans to attend the SCO Summit in Samarkand, we expect a very, very important and representative event, unique in its kind. Indeed, Vladimir Putin is planning a number of very important international contacts there,” Peskov said.
It is expected that the SCO summit, which will be held on September 15 and 16 in Samarkand, will be attended by all the leaders of the SCO countries. Iran and Belarus are also intending to join the organization.
