President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, who landed in Samarkand on a working visit to attend the SCO summit, the presidential press service reported.
The Presidents commended the positive trend in the bilateral ties. The volume of two-way trade is growing dynamically, increasing by 30% YTD.
Joint cooperation projects are being implemented in the fields of industry, energy, agriculture and water management, transport, interregional and cultural and humanitarian exchanges are expanding.
The parties focused on the importance of the swift launch of the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, the agreement on which was signed the day before, and the Kambarata HPP-1, which are expected to contribute to the development of the entire Central Asian region.
The counterparts also exchange views on the schedule of upcoming contacts at the highest level, as well as topical issues of regional and international politics.
