The Russian president in his remarks at the SCO summit expressed his readiness to offer a certain amount of mineral fertilizers to developing countries for free if the sanctions are lifted.
"Unfortunately, recently some countries, especially the European Union, continue to impose irrational sanctions against Russia. Discriminatory sanctions against us must be lifted.
“I would like to give an example to prove my point. We know that Russia is a major exporter of mineral fertilizers. The European Union, which imposed sanctions, announced that it had lifted sanctions against these products. We know how important mineral fertilizers are. We certainly support this decision. But if we get acquainted with the document, a strange aspect becomes clear - the sanction against mineral fertilizers was lifted only for delivery to the European Union. So what are developing countries to do?”
“I want to use the opportunities of the SCO to apply to the UN for a solution to this problem, I also spoke with the Secretary General. At the moment, we have a large amount of products in stock. If the sanctions are fully lifted, we are ready to supply a certain amount of mineral fertilizers to developing and needy countries free of charge.”
