On September 22, Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov over the telephone. The two leaders congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, well-being and great success, as well as prosperity to the Turkmen people.
They discussed the topical issues for further advancing and strengthening of Uzbek-Turkmen relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership and focused on the preparation of a rich agenda for the upcoming high-level meetings. The existing wide opportunities for increasing the volume of mutual trade, deepening cooperation in the field of industry, energy, transport and agriculture, expanding the program of cultural and humanitarian exchange were noted.
In addition, the heads of state exchanged views on the prospects for regional cooperation and commended the fruitful results of the Samarkand summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
At the end of the telephone conversation, Mirziyoyev congratulated the President and the people of Turkmenistan on the upcoming public holiday - Independence Day of the country, expressed his best wishes for peace, sustainable development and progress of Turkmenistan.
