On the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, the Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov held talks with the Foreign Minister of Denmark, Jeppe Sebastian Kofod.
The parties stressed the importance of taking joint measures to step up the political dialogue by organizing mutual visits and practical events. Vladimir Norov proposed to enter into a protocol on cooperation and consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Denmark.
Vladimir Norov said that the Uzbek authorities welcomed the decision of the Danish government to open an honorary consulate in Uzbekistan. Tashkent and Copenhagen are ready to continue cooperation within the framework of the UN and other international institutions.
In order to facilitate trade and investment, the parties agreed to review organizing mutual visits of interested departments.
Jeppe Sebastian Kofod emphasized that the organization of trainings for students and internships for young researchers from Uzbekistan in leading Danish research institutes will contribute to the expansion of cooperation in the field of education and science.
