Information surfaced on social networks about the mandatory mobilization of foreign citizens for military service in the Russian Federation, including labor migrants from the countries of Central Asia.
According to the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Uzbekistan, the above information was not true.
“Referring to a fake order of the Russian Interior Ministry, the attackers are spreading fake news that citizens of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan temporarily staying in Russia are subject to partial mobilization. If they refuse to enter into a contract, they allegedly face the annulment of their work permit and deportation,” the statement says.
Diplomats called on Uzbeks in Russia not to give into various provocations and rely on only official information.
