The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kyiv in a statement once again called on fellow countrymen to refrain from traveling to Ukraine until the conflict is resolved.

The statement was published against the backdrop of increased rocket attacks on Ukrainian cities by Russia.

“In addition, in light of the aggravation of the situation on the fronts, as well as the high likelihood of continued rocket and artillery strikes throughout Ukraine, we ask our compatriots to leave the country for the sake of personal safety,” the statement added.

Large cities of Ukraine, including Kyiv, were subjected to massive rocket attacks on the morning of October 10. Authorities reported casualties. Russia said it had delivered a “massive strike with precision-guided weapons against Ukraine’s energy, military command and communications facilities.”

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Aibek Smadiyarov, said that the ministry was considering the complete evacuation of its employees from the embassy in Ukraine. “Now the question is not about closing the embassy, the question is about the evacuation of the staff of our embassy. This issue will be resolved in the coming days. The evacuation is likely to be complete,” he said.
