On October 12, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree waiving from customs import duties for 14 types of equipment and 21 types of raw materials and semi-finished products.
Until January 1, 2025, the zero-import rate duty will apply to the following types of raw materials and supplies:
- cuttings, young, flowering and other protected ground plants, excluding cacti;
- molasses resulting from the extraction or refining of sugar;
- unworked or roughly crushed marble and travertine, or calcareous tufa;
- coloring matter, ink;
- ethylene polymers in primary forms;
- polymers of propylene or other olefins in primary forms;
- coils, bobbins and similar articles of plastics;
- new pneumatic rubber tires for buses, for use on aircraft, for agricultural or forestry machinery;
- fabrics from synthetic and artificial threads and fibers;
- textile materials impregnated, coated or laminated with polyurethane.
In addition, 14 types of machineries have been added to the list of imported process equipment, analogues of which are not produced in Uzbekistan and which are waived from customs duty and value added tax:
- wheel lifting farms, portal loaders;
- tower cranes;
- pneumatic lifts and conveyors (for textiles and others);
- bucket and belt elevators and conveyors;
- roller conveyors;
- other elevators and conveyors of continuous action;
- machines for sorting, stacking, bandaging, sealing, closing postal correspondence, as well as for sticking and canceling stamps;
- equipment for the production of tobacco sticks;
- alternating current generators (with an output power of 375-750 kVA, as well as from 750 kVA and above);
- devices for high-temperature soldering;
- mining dump trucks with a carrying capacity of over 50 tons.
