On May 24, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the visiting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Welcoming the guest the Head of state pointed to the huge potential for further advancing bilateral cooperation.
It was noted that the meeting with the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan on May 21 in Riyadh on the sidelines of the Arab Islamic American Summit, as well as numerous meetings on various levels are the evidence of mutual interest and readiness to raise the Uzbek-UAE ties to a qualitatively new level.
The sides paid special attention to implementing of promising projects with the participation of UAE’s leading financial institutions and companies, and to activation of tourism exchanges.
The President highly valued the support by the United Arab Emirates of Uzbekistan’s initiative to establish an international research center named after Imam Bukhari in the city of Samarkand.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his gratitude to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the warm welcome and conveyed the words of deep respect and best wishes of the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The guest confirmed the UAE’s readiness to expand comprehensive and mutually beneficial ties between the two states.
