Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India Dilshod Ahadov met with President of Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) Jyoti Mayal and President of Foreign Tour Operators Association Riaz Munshi, Dunyo reported.
Jyoti Mayal recognized the Uzbekistan’s tourism potential and highly valued the efforts being done on its full use and expressed readiness for cooperation in increasing the flow of Indian tourists by promoting the Uzbekistan tourism potential among the members of the association.
President of Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI) Riaz Munshi noted that Uzbekistan is traditionally one of the favorite destinations among Indian tourists. In order to increase the effectiveness of cooperation, the possibilities of increasing the number of existing flights between the two countries were discussed.
The sides exchanged views in detail with the leadership of these two leading tourism associations of India on the activities and plans to be implemented in cooperation by the end of this year and in 2023.
The TAAI was founded in 1951 and today it comprises more than 2,500 different companies operating in the travel industry. Indian Association of Foreign Tour Operators is one of the largest associations in the field of tourism in the country, and the number of tour companies and agencies that are members of it currently exceeds two thousand.
