On October 24, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a government meeting on ensuring the sustainable operation of economic sectors and social institutions in the autumn-winter period.

He touched upon the issue of saving energy resources and stressed that "crises in the global energy sector also affect our region, and therefore the relevance of responsible consumption is growing," the presidential spokesman said in a statement.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev reportedly stressed the importance of introducing energy-efficient technologies in all institutions and increasing the involvement of the public in the matter of energy saving.

The Ministry of Energy was instructed to monitor the state of providing the population with energy resources in real time. For this, call centers and provincial working groups should be involved.

In the autumn-winter period, 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas will be supplied to the population. Liquefied gas and coal will be supplied to villages distanced from gas pipelines.

In order to avoid gas losses, the president instructed to fully digitize all links in the supply chain, from gas wells to consumers.

“The leaders of all industries and provinces should double their responsibility in this matter, meet the needs of the population, not leave without attention and promptly resolve each complaint,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
