Uzbek Ambassador to Japan Muhsin Abdurahmanov met with Junichiro Miyagawa, vice president of All Nippon Airlines (ANA) on Tuesday, Dunyo reported.
Reportedly, the parties discussed establishing direct flights from Japan to the Uzbek cities, promoting tourism and implementing tourism projects.
The sides focused on the launching of a modern airport terminal and a new tourist center in Samarkand, with 800 passengers-an-hour and 120 flights per week throughput.
Agreement was reached at the meeting to increase charter flights from major cities of Japan to Uzbekistan.
