The Consul General of Uzbekistan in Bangkok met with Oramon Saptavitham, Director General of the Department of International Trade Negotiations of the Ministry of Trade of Thailand, Dunyo reported.
The parties exchanged views on expediting trade in agricultural, textile, and chemical industry products from Uzbekistan, and automobile, electrical engineering, agricultural, cosmetics, and folk medicine products from Thailand.
Oramon Saptavitham expressed the importance of increasing mutual visits of representatives of businesses to get to know the existing opportunities in order to increase the volume of the two-way trade, and expressed his readiness to support measures in this area.
The sides also focused on the relations between Uzbekistan and Thailand within international organizations. Thailand officials confirmed full support for Uzbekistan's membership in the World Trade Organization.
