Uzbek Ambassador to Hungary (stationed in Vienna) Abat Fayzullaev met with senior executives of Wizz Air in Budapest.
According to Dunyo, the sides exchange views on Wizz Air's entry into the Uzbek market and the explored the possibility of establishing direct flights between European countries and Uzbek cities.
As reported earlier, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi would launch Abu Dhabi to Samarkand flight from December 13.
Wizz Air's executives emphasized that one of the strategic goals of the airline was to launch direct flights between the major cities of Hungary and Uzbekistan.
During the talks, an agreement was reached on organizing a trip to Tashkent for a delegation headed by Wizz Air CEO József Váradi in November and holding meetings with the chiefs of relevant authorities of Uzbekistan.
A delegation of Wizz Air experts will also visit Samarkand as part of the Hungarian delegation to attend the Turkic Summit in November this year and will also attend a business forum.
