Joint interview of Uzbekistan's ambassador to Japan, Muhsin Abdurahmanov, former Japanese ambassador to Uzbekistan, Fumihiko Kato, and OISCA president Etsuko Nakano was organized at the of Uzbek Embassy in Tokyo for the next issue of OISCA magazine, Dunyo reported.

Reported, the Uzbek government is making consistent efforts to combat drought and water shortage, to mitigate the consequences of the Aral tragedy, and to develop the former Aral sea region.

Japan has been supporting Uzbekistan's efforts in the field of environmental protection for many years and is helping to find solutions to many environmental problems.

Etsuko Nakano, president of OISCA, emphasized that the organization had gained rich experience in growing desert plants such as saxowul and tistanche through the implementation of the project of greening the desert zones of Inner Mongolia for many years.

Etsuko Nakano, the president of OISCA, noted that in November of this year, OISCA planned to launch a project to green the area of ​​40,000 hectares of the dry area of ​​the Aral Sea for 10 years, and hoped that this project would help improve the ecological situation and the well-being of the population on the Aral Sea.
