On May 27, the Uzbek Senate at its 10th plenary meeting has approved new heads of diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan in Belgium, India and the Republic of Korea, a statement of the Foreign Ministry said.
Farhod Arziev has become the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to India. Prior to the appointment Arziev worked as adviser at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Vitaly Fen has been re-appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Korea. In 1995-2013 he held the position of Charge d'Affaires of Uzbekistan, then Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Korea.
The Senate has also appointed the Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Dilyor Hakimov as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the Kingdom of Belgium.
