On April 30, the Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov, who is currently in Ashgabat to take part in the Sixth Meeting of the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the Central Asia+Japan Dialogue, was received by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

On May 1, 2017, the Uzbek Foreign ministry delegation headed by Minister Kamilov will take part in the Sixth Meeting of the Foreign Ministers in the framework of the Central Asia+Japan Dialogue in Ashgabat.

On April 17-19 in Astana was held the regular meeting of the Council of National Coordinators (SCC) of the SCO member-states. The representatives of Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan exchanged views on the progress of preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of States and other SCO statutory bodies, and the meeting of the Organization's foreign ministers on April 20-21, 2017.

President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a condolences message to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Ruhani in connection with flash floods in several provinces of the country, which led to many human deaths and left several people missing.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev offered his sincere condolences to the President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos Calderón in connection with the large-scale natural disaster in the Putumayo province, which led to numerous victims and destruction.

The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a congratulatory message to Aleksandar Vučić on his election as the President of the Republic of Serbia.

In the message the Head of our State expressed confidence that Aleksandar Vučić in his responsible capacity of the President will contribute to further strengthening of the Uzbek-Serb ties which are based on the principles of mutual respect and serve the interests of our countries and peoples."

The President of Uzbekistan wished good health and every success to the President-elect of Serbia, and peace and prosperity to the Serbian people.

 

 

The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his condolences to the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin in connection with the explosion in the metro of St. Petersburg.

An Uzbek Labor Ministry delegation, led by the minister Aziz Abdukhakimov, on March 30 visited the Multifunctional Migration Center (MMC) of Moscow city, the ministry said on its Facebook page. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the activities of the center and discuss a number of issues, including raising awareness of Uzbek citizens about the services of the MMC.

The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov on April 7, 2017 will visit Uzbekistan. This was announced in a briefing by the spokeswoman of the Russia Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

Jean-Marc Ayrault received his counterparts from the five Central Asian states on 29 March 2017 at the Quai d'Orsay to celebrate the establishment in 1992 of diplomatic relations with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
