As part of his visit to France, Deputy PM/Minister of Investments Jamshid Khojaev held a series of meetings with the senior management of the French Ministry of Trade and a number of large French companies to discuss the state of trade, economic and investment cooperation and measures for its further development, Dunyo reported.
In the meeting with the management of EDF company, the parties discussed process of implementation of the company's current projects in Sirdarya and Surkhondarya provinces. Company representatives expressed interest in implementation of new projects with a total capacity of 1,250 MW in the field of development of alternative energy sources in Tashkent and Navoi provinces. At the end of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on the development of joint projects.
In a meeting with the chairman of the board of directors of SUEZ SA Sabrina Soussan, the sides touched upon the organizational aspects of the implementation of investment projects for the modernization of the water supply systems of the city of Tashkent and the Surkhandarya province, and the prospects of expanding the company's experience to the development of water supply systems in other provinces of Uzbekistan were considered. They agreed to continue the work on expansion of cooperation, assuming that the company will participate in the projects of modernization of heat networks and solid waste management in cities.
At the meeting with the management of EIFFAGE, the parties discussed the project of laying the Yakkabog to Karshi main water pipeline. The length of the pipeline is 82 km, there are 4 reservoirs for water storage. The parties agreed to take measures for the rapid implementation of the project.
