Coca-Cola Ichimligi Uzbekistan has unveiled plans to invest $165 million for two new factories. The first factory, to be situated in Samarkand province on 18.5 hectares will produce 280 mn liters of soft drinks, and create 200 jobs. The $133 mln factory will see a significant portion of the investment - $115 mn from the Dutch CCI International Holland B.V. Commercial operations are scheduled for Q2 quarter of this year, with plans to market products to CIS countries.
In the Namangan province, the second $50 mln factory on 14.2 hectares will produce 198 mn liters of carbonated drink annually, will also get investment from CCI International Holland B.V. The project is slated to be completed in Q4 of this year, with commercial operations due in the first quarter of 2025. The Namangan location was strategically chosen for its proximity to neighboring countries, facilitating efficient product export. The project is expected to create 300 jobs.
CCI Uzbekistan underscored that both factories will primarily cater to the domestic market. In addition, the facilities will implement energy efficient technologies consuming by 10-15% and purifying water for reuse in production.
