Seven new small industrial zones (SIZ) will be set up in the Fergana province. The government of Uzbekistan issued a decree Measures on Setting of Additional Small Industrial Zones in Fergana province.
According to the document, the inventories will be created in Fergana, Furkatsky, Kuva, Uzbekistan, Altyaryk, Yazyavan and Kushtepa districts of the Fergana province.
The SIZs will be located on total area of 72.6 hectares, with the area of buildings and premises at about 85.8 thousand sq.m..
Small industrial zones will be created on the basis of idle production areas and land plots.
The resolution states that business entities shall receive the real estate state-owned assets located on the territory of the SIZs for a period of 10 years.
If the business plan and other conditions are met, the asset will become the property of the entrepreneur.
