Sunflower oil production plant will be opened in cooperation between BMB Trade Group of Uzbekistan and Kish Group of Hungary.
Mirgulom Usmanov, commercial director of BMB trade group, spoke about the future plant at the Uzbek-Hungarian business forum in Tashkent on 29 March, Kun.uz reports.
He noted that the plant is expected to be completed in 2022.
“The project’s estimated cost is more than US$ 90 million. Of this, US$ 52 million will be spent for the construction and for importing equipment from Hungary. More than US$ 40 million will be used to grow sunflower seeds and supply the plant with raw materials,” said Mirgulom Usmanov.
According to him, the plant is planned to be built in Sharof Rashidov district of Jizzakh province. Raw materials are supplied from sunflower growing provinces of the country.
“In addition, the equipment used at the plant will be manufactured at the Hungarian subsidiary Kish Engineering. The plant is scheduled to be commissioned in 2022,” he concluded.
