On April 12, 2017 the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in order to inspect ongoing construction works and get acquainted with socio-economic development, the activities of schools and makhallas (neighbourhoods) visited Tashkent’s Chilanzar district.
In particular, he visited the JSC Rele va Avtomatika (Relay and automation).
The company occupies 3,91 hectares, including a ,26 hectare production site. The plant produces metal and plastic products of about 100 kinds, low-voltage devices, and provided related services. The required infrastructure for expanding production is available.
On idle facilities of the company in 2017-2018, it is planned to implement 10 investment projects. As a result of which, production of paper for cash registers and terminals, knitwear, hydraulic oils, plastic pipes and fittings, propylene bags, acrylic and stationery will be established here.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev also visited the Uzbek-British joint venture Roison Home White Goods.
The total area of the joint venture, set up on the territory of the former Algoritm plant, is almost 23 hectares, including 9.7 hectares occupied by buildings and structures. Currently, there are over 50 business entities involved in the production of household appliances, textile, chemical, paper products, furniture, construction materials, metal processing, with over 1,000 people employed.
During the meeting with entrepreneurs, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that it is necessary to make use of the favorable business environment more efficiently, improve the quality of products, expand exports, and actively participate in international exhibitions. The President gave the responsible executives the instructions to support entrepreneurs, promote exports, attract investments, provides loans and addressed other topical issues.
