President approved the Amendments to some legal documents. Accordingly, the following were added to the duties of the Business Ombudsman within the Business Ombudsman under the President of Uzbekistan Law:

Today, Tashkent Hilton City hotel hosted an Uzbek-Saudi business forum, the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade said. Reportedly, the Business Forum was attended by the Deputy PM Jamshid Khodjaev, Minister of Investments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Khalid al-Falih, heads of ministries, departments and executives of over 100 major companies of both countries.

Business entities exporting products from fabrics and knitted fabrics to European countries, Turkey, Egypt and Morocco will get subsidies until January 1, 2024 to compensate for 70% of transportation costs. This is provided for by the Dec. 21 decree of the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on supporting the exports.

Foreign Affairs Ministries of Uzbekistan and Serbia held consultations via conference call. During the talks, the parties exchanged views on the current state of bilateral ties and prospects for cooperation in trade-economic, investment and IT areas.

UzVC National Venture Capital Fund held an inaugural conference to celebrate the launch of its Startup Growth Program (SGP). The launch is co-organized as a joint project of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, UNDP in Uzbekistan “Empowering youth to embrace digital economy and digital entrepreneurship” and AKS Services Group in partnership with the National Office for Innovation Implementation and Technology Transfer, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the Youth Affairs Agency and INNO Technopark.

Government issued resolution on November 08, approving the Regulation on hiring and health improvement centers for women at the place of residence.

Uzbek Ambassador Ulugbek Maqsudov met with director of Sitra textile company Omar al-Saqqaf in Jeddah, Dunyo reported. The parties discussed the ways to advance cooperation between the Uzbek and Saudi Arabian textile companies, the export of UZbe textile products to Saudi Arabia, and the establishment of a joint venture.

Prospects for the implementation of investment projects were discussed at the Ministry of Investment with Erlendur Svavarsson, vice president of the Icelandic company Loftleiðir.

Uzbek-Hungarian business forum was held in Budapest on Monday, which was attended by business leaders of the two countries. The forum was aimed at the comprehensive strengthening of ties between the business community of Uzbekistan and Hungary, as a fundamental condition for the further development of investment and trade and economic cooperation.

The program: New Uzbekistan - A Country of Competitive Products will be implemented in Uzbekistan. The program aims to select exporting entities through an open competition, turning them into leading exporters and providing them with comprehensive support. This proposal of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade was approved by the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on September 30.

Due to problems with transferring foreign currency payments, Russian businesses began to register companies in Uzbekistan. According to Kommersant, many Russian banks were switched off SWIFT, and from February to July there were significant restrictions on the transfer of foreign currency payments.
