Ramina Yagafarova, the host of With My Own Eyes program on Dunyo Bo’ylab channel, died on September 13 in Tashkent at the age of 31, her colleague Elmira Tukhvatullina announced on September 14. The information was confirmed by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of Uzbekistan.

Reportedly, on the evening of September 12, Ramina Yagafarova came to a private clinic in the Chilanzar district to visit her mother.

Due to a sore throat, the journalist took a tablet of levofloxacin (an antibiotic) she had with her. About 10-15 minutes later she had an attack and lost consciousness.

The clinic doctor provided her first aid, after which Ramina Yagafarova was placed in the intensive care unit. After the treatment procedures, she regained consciousness and her condition improved.

However, on the afternoon of September 13, she had a second attack. Despite medical procedures, she died at approximately 5:50 p.m., the district attorney's office said in a statement.

According to the conclusion of the forensic medical examination, death occurred as a result of “an allergic reaction to the drug (levofloxacin), acute edema of the brain and lungs, acute respiratory and cardiovascular failure, and anaphylactic shock.”

The Chilanzar District Prosecutor's Office is conducting a pre-probe into the incident.

Elmira Tukhvatullina wrote in a publication about her colleague: “I can’t believe that she is no longer with us - smiling, cheerful, charming, energetic, full of hope and new ideas... The doctors could not “resuscitate” the heart, and it stopped.”

On Dunyo Bo’ylab channel, Yagafarova also hosted the Trends information program and went live on air from various places and events. On Sunday she was going to cover the Echo of Love festival in memory of Anna German. “She taught at the Uzbek State University of Music, worked on her doctoral dissertation, and dreamed of going to the sea with her son,” the journalist noted.
