President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vladimir Putin signed a Joint statement and oversaw the exchange of 27 signed accords, in particular, an agreement between governments on providing technical assistance to Uzbekistan in the field of metrology, a plan of joint actions to expand industrial cooperation to increase the trade turnover of countries, a plan of joint actions to expand interaction in priority areas of cooperation, a plan of major directions of activity of the working group to increase trade turnover between countries for 2024−2030.

The parties also signed agreements on cooperation in the field of joint film production, in the field of ensuring the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population, and a protocol on amendments to the intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of fisheries (November 17, 2021).

As reported earlier, a protocol was also signed on amending the intergovernmental agreement on cooperation for the construction of a nuclear power plant on the territory of Uzbekistan dated September 7, 2018, a contract for design, supply and construction of a low-power nuclear power plant in Uzbekistan, an agreement on the launch of a chemical products production unit in Uzbekistan jointly with Rosatom.

The following accords were also signed:

  • Agreement between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia on holding joint contests in the field of scientific research;
  • Agreement between the Agency for Quarantine and Plant Protection under the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation on digital cooperation in the field of plant quarantine;
  • Memorandum between the Ministry of Higher Education of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation on the creation of a branch of the federal state budget-financed educational institution of higher education "Moscow State Technical University named after. N.E. Bauman (national research university)” in Uzbekistan;
  • Cooperation program to increase tourist flow between the two countries for 2025−2026;
  • Program of cooperation in the field of culture between ministries of culture for 2024–2026;
  • Practical action plan (“road map”) for the development of cooperation in the field of quarantine and plant protection for 2024–2025;
  • Protocol of intent between ministries of health on issues of healthcare organization;
  • Protocol of intent between the Ministries of Health in the field of regulation of medicines for medical use, medical devices and high-tech methods of treatment in the countries;
  • Memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the field of transport engineering between the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation;
  • Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation on the exchange of experience in the formation and development of the aviation systems industry, as well as the study of the legal basis for their application to improve the efficiency of socio-economic development;
  • Agreement on opening a branch of the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade;
  • Agreement between the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Sberbank on mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of tourism;
  • Plan of practical measures for the implementation of pilot projects of Sberbank in Tashkent;
  • Roadmap for expanding cooperation between the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan and Gazprom Neft;
  • Agreement on comprehensive support for priority projects in Uzbekistan (Russian state development corporation VEB.RF);
  • Agreement on the implementation of projects for the development of agrological centers in Uzbekistan (VEB.RF).
