Mongolia's President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh attended the inauguration ceremony of the Mongolian Embassy in Tashkent on Monday, the press service of the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan said.
The event was also attended by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, Foreign Minister of Mongolia Batmunkh Battsetseg and other officials.
The day before it was reported that Daadanhuu Batbaatar had been appointed the Ambassador of Mongolia to Uzbekistan.
Before this, there was an honorary consulate of Mongolia in Tashkent.
According to the Mongolian agency Montsame, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during the talks with the Mongolian leader announced that Uzbekistan sought to open its embassy in Ulaanbaatar in the near future.
