The deputy speaker of the Legislative Chamber/Leader of National Revival Party, Alisher Qodirov said that country needs to bring back the death penalty for serious crimes. His statement came after the news of a man’s murder of his cohabitant’s three-year-old toddler in Tashkent.
A person who committed an atrocity against a baby should not be living on this planet, he said on his Telegram channel.
He recalled another case where a guy was stabbed 20 times. The court sentenced the 25-year-old killer to 17 years in prison.
“How will this 25-year-old monster return to society at the age of 42? It is illogical to sit and wait that a brutal criminal returns as a different person, with the state accommodating and feeding him at the expense of our taxes,” he added.
“Society needs to be cleansed of such people! Are we obliged to adapt to those who teach the world about humanity, turning a blind eye to the killing of children and innocent people?” - he urged.
He also voiced the opinion that “monsters” who commit such crimes become role models for future “pro-monsters.”
