The newly appointed ambassador of Uzbekistan, Nodir Ganiev has arrived in the capital of France, Dunyo agency said on Tuesday.
Until now, he had worked first as chargé d'affaires, and then, from October 2023 as the first ambassador of Uzbekistan to Sweden. The embassy in Stockholm was opened in 2022.
Nodir Ganiev, 52, graduated from Tashkent State University (now the National University), majoring in philology and oriental studies.
He has been working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1994, and has held various positions in the central office and diplomatic missions of the country.
Before his appointment to Sweden, he served as chief of the Foreign Ministry's Department for Cooperation with European Countries and European Union Institutions.
The previous ambassador of Uzbekistan in Paris, Sardor Rustambayev was appointed ambassador to India in January.
