The Competition Committee has launched a case against the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, the Committee's press service said today.
Last week, social networks discussed the feasibility of a call for bids worth total of 1.28 billion soums, or 100 thousand USD, which requested for entries to design websites: www.qadriyatim.uz and www.tanlov.manaviyat.uz, mobile apps for them and an official web portal for the center.
The Committee examined the reports and opened a case for violation of the Article 29 of the Competition Law (restricted competition in tenders).
Earlier, a call was announced worth of 488 million soums for building a portal about cultural and arts people with state awards in Uzbekistan.
In May 2022, the Agency for Mahallas under the former Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction spent 8.4 billion soums ($755 thousand) to develop the Online Mahalla platform without holding a tender. The system was created for the activities of mayors’ assistants and for filing applications for subsidies, employment and other purposes.
