The 2024-2025-year tuition fee in all programs at all state-owned universities will increase by an average of 15%, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation said.
For example, the fee for the “cheapest” undergraduate program: Pedagogy will increase from 6,412,610 to 7,400,000 soums (+15.4%).
The price tag of the “most expensive” program: Law will increase from 9.8 million soums to 11.25 million soums (+14.7%), the program Economy will increase from 9.13 million to 10.5 million soums (+11.5%).
The base tuition fee has not changed for four years (excluding price increases due to the link to the basic calculation value). The size of stipends has not increased since 2021.
State-owned universities that have financial independence have the right to independently set the tuition fees.
