Uzbek truck and bus drivers will be hired for jobs in Slovakia, the Dunyo news agency said. Uzbek Ambassador Bakhtiyor Ibragimov met with the President of the Slovak Association of Road Carriers (Česmad) Pavol Piešťanský.
The parties discussed potential hiring Uzbeks for the Slovak labor market and implementation of a safe, orderly and legal system of labor migration and agreed to establish cooperation between the migration agency and the Association.
Pavol Piešťanský said that In the Slovakia labor market, the demand for professional drivers (truck and bus) was about 14 thousand people.
The Slovak government adopted resolution allowing issuance of a Slovak visa to nationals of a number of countries for driver jobs.
