The Tashkent city mayor’s office commented on the launch of an online platform for the sale and lease of land plots in the capital. The www.projects.toshkentinvest.uz platform is an auction platform integrated with the E-auksion platform. It offers over 110 land plots for business and urban development activities.

All proceeds from the sale or lease of objects will be sent to the mahalla and district development fund.

Residents of the capital expressed concern about the fate of a children's playground in the Yangi Sebzor mahalla of the Almazar district, where 250 square meters of land is also up for sale at a starting price of 1.22 billion soums.

According to the mayor’s office, the acquisition of such objects "imposes responsibility on a business entity and, as a result, serves for the well-being of the public." These include the creation of new jobs, improved infrastructure, and a socio-economic effect.

Reportedly, the Yangi Sebzor mahalla is being renovated as part of the Obod Mahalla program.

In addition to playgrounds, the lighting system is being updated in the mahallas, an irrigation system is being installed, additional trees and bushes are being planted, new benches, gazebos, urns, etc. are being installed.

In April, Tashkent mayor Shavkat Umurzakov announced that a unified mechanism for mahallas will be implemented in the capital. Their infrastructure and appearance are to be brought to a single standard and a transparent monitoring system created.
