A man who sexually harassed a minor girl in Surkhandarya was arrested, the Children's Ombudsman reported. Reportedly, the children's ombudsman received a complaint from Sh.M., a resident of Surkhandarya province. In her complaint, the woman said that her neighbor B.Sh., 32, on June 3, took advantage of the fact that there was no one at home and did shameless acts on her daughter, 10.
According to the woman, B.Sh. threatened to kill the minor girl if she told anyone about the harassing. Sh.M. She reported that her daughter recorded the actions of the man on video, reported the situation to the police authorities, but they did not take appropriate measures, and asked for help in protecting the rights of her child.
"Based on the request sent by the children's ombudsman to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a criminal case has been initiated under Perpetrating obscene acts against a person under the age of 16 charge.
Also, a preventive measure of imprisonment was applied to the man. Currently, the preliminary investigation has been completed and the criminal case has been sent to the appropriate court.
