Uzbek automated fare payment system, ATTO and the automated fare payment system for Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) public transport, Tulpar signed a memorandum of cooperation on Monday, the press service of the Uzbek company and the Bishkek mayor's office said.
The goal of the cooperation is to implement integration for mutual acceptance of payments in public transport in the cities of the two countries.
"Soon, Kyrgyzstan nationals will be able to pay for their trips in the cities of Uzbekistan with Tulpar cards, and also Uzbeks - with ATTO cards in Bishkek. In the backdrop of actively growing tourism, such cooperation will make travel more comfortable for residents of both countries," the statement said.
ATTO reported that steps are now underway to integrate the two systems.
