The Central Election Commission approved the creation of polling stations at diplomatic and other missions of Uzbekistan in foreign countries at its Monday session.

According to the Dunyo news agency, 56 polling stations will be opened in 39 countries based on the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In particular, there will be one polling station in 29 countries (Austria, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Belarus, Belgium, Great Britain, Hungary, Egypt, Israel, India, Indonesia, Iran, Spain, Italy, Kuwait, Latvia, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Poland, Singapore, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, France, Switzerland, Sweden and Japan), two polling stations in seven countries (Germany, Kyrgyzstan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, USA, Turkey, South Korea), three polling stations in two (Kazakhstan and China) and seven polling stations in Russia.

Parliamentary elections and elections of deputies to local councils will take place on October 27. The election campaign began on July 26.
