On September 8, a pedestrian was killed after he was hit in Chilanzar district of Tashkent, the press service of the Tashkent’s Traffic Police reported.
Reportedly, the accident occurred at about 11:00 p.m. on Bunyodkor avenue. The 27-year-old driver of GM Cobalt hit a 41-year-old pedestrian. The pedestrian died at the scene from his injuries.
A criminal case has been launched under Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of a vehicle resulting in the death of a person. According to this article, drivers shall be held liable even if the accident happened due to pedestrian fault.
