In the Tashkent province, a woman paid her ex-husband over 1.7 billion soums in advance in alimony for three children — 3, 4 and 6 years old, the press service of the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement said.

After the divorce, the children's mother was ordered by the court to pay half of the child support, but she delayed the payment, and the court fined her.

The enforcement officers warned the woman that a criminal case would be launched against her if she did not pay the debt. The Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement imposed a ban on her leaving the country.

Since the woman needed to go abroad for treatment, reportedly, her relatives decided to help her.

The woman said that she would pay the entire amount of alimony in advance for the period from 2023 to 2039, i.e. until the youngest child reaches 18 years of age. The total amount was 1.748 billion soums.
