Uzbekistan government delegation, led by the President's Foreign Policy Envoy, Abdulaziz Komilov visited Croatia on October 22-24 of this year.
During the visit, the parties discussed the ways to strengthen the bilateral ties and to expand political dialogue between Uzbekistan and Croatia.
One of the important events of the visit was the talks with the Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković. During the conversation, the parties discussed the ways to deepen the ties between the two countries in various areas, including trade and economy, transport and infrastructure, energy, as well as labor migration.
The Croatian PM highly appreciated the initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan to step up bilateral relations and voiced his readiness to further advance the mutually beneficial cooperation.
Abdulaziz Komilov handed over the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s invitation to the Croatian PM to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan in 2025.
Also, within the framework of the visit, Abdulaziz Komilov met with Croatian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure Oleg Butkovic, the senior officials of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
