16-year-old teenager died after falling from the 21st floor of the Chorsu Hotel in the Shaykhantakhur district of Tashkent. The information was confirmed by the spokesman to the Prosecutor General's Office.
A report of the incident was received by the duty unit of the District police department on November 28, 2024 at approximately 19:30.
A forensic medical examination has been ordered into the death of the young man. The Shaykhantakhur District Prosecutor's Office is conducting a pre-investigation check.
The 23-story Chorsu Hotel, built in 1982, has not been functioning since the early 2000s. The building is considered to be in disrepair and not subject to reconstruction. In 2025, the reconstruction of Chorsu Square is scheduled to begin with the demolition of the hotel and the construction of a new hotel in its place, and a business center and residential buildings nearby.
