Uzbek Ambassador Karomiddin Gadoev met with the president of the Malaysian Selangor football club, Crown Prince of Selangor State, Amir Shah.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia in the field of football.
They emphasized the importance of developing ties with the Selangor FC and Uzbek clubs and exchanged views on the participation of Malaysian football teams in tournaments between children, youth and amateur clubs in Uzbekistan, as well as organizing visits to hold friendly matches.
Emphasis was placed on attracting investments, grants from Malaysia, and establishing the exchange of coaches and specialists for the development of football in Uzbekistan.
Crown Prince of Selangor State Amir Shah highly valued the large-scale reforms being carried out in the field of football in Uzbekistan. He noted with satisfaction that Uzbek footballer, defender of the national team of Uzbekistan Umar Eshmurodov plays in the club he heads.
The Malaysian officials expressed its readiness to further strengthen cooperation with Uzbekistan in the field of football.
