Uzbek Ambassador Bakhtiyor Ibragimov met with the Kazakh Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Svetlana Dzhakupova Tuesday.
The parties discussed the bilateral ties in the labor migration.
The Minister provided information on recent legislative changes in the field of labor migration, drawing attention to the ways to further simplify procedures for obtaining work permits, for searching jobseekers abroad, and for entering into employment contracts.
The parties agreed to organize negotiations with the leadership of the National Agency for Social Protection via video conference call in January.
They also discussed the thorough drafting of a bilateral labor migration treaty, holding the first working group meeting on labor migration between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, and organizing a visit to Kazakhstan in February by a delegation of relevant ministries and departments of Uzbekistan.
Finally, an agreement was reached on creating legal conditions and social guarantees for Uzbek nationals employed in the private transport sector.
